Logistics
Vopak now provides fully integrated
land based logistics services for chemical manufacturers
and distributors in the Sydney and NSW regions. Starting
from the chemical tanker all the way through to the
end-user, Vopak can manage every step of the supply
chain.
The service is based on the Site-A-Port Botany bulk
liquid chemical terminal (70 tanks, 35,000 cbm) and
the APCS inland small storage, packaging and warehouse
facility located in the western suburbs of Sydney. This
combination enables storage, handling, drumming, blending,
warehousing and distribution to be optimised for individual
product requirements.
APCS also manages the import/export of containerised
packaged chemicals to and from the port. Chemicals are
destuffed, stored in the appropriate Dangerous Goods
classified warehouses and distributed to the end-user
if required. Ancillary services such as inventory management,
data entry to SAP systems, relabelling and transaction
reporting are priveded.

Logistics
Vopak operates the only independent
fuel import terminal is NSW. The terminal has 13 tanks
and a total capacity of 103,000 cbm. It is fully automated
and the customers can access details of their products
transactions and input loading authorities electronically.
All tanks are fitted with floating roofs and have blending
capability. Products handled include gasoline, diesel,
ethanol and methanol. Tanks can be adapted for Jet Fuel
service.
