Quality Storage & Handling Facilities
Engro Vopak Terminal Ltd. is the only state of the art integrated
bulk liquid chemical import / export and storage terminal in Pakistan.
The jetty, located in the middle of the Port Qasim channel, is
designed to handle ships up to 75,000 dwt and is linked to the
102-acre tank farm.
Currently, there are 19 storage tanks in stainless and carbon
steel both for atmospheric storage and for pressurized storage
(VCM, LPG). Ten loading are available for road tankers. Automated
filling and weighbridge systems provide accurate product dispatch
to customers. Fire fighting, nitrogen supply and waste handling
systems are available at the terminal.

Strong Commitment to Safety Health & Environment
The company aims to maintain high international industry standards
ro ensure safety and reliability in its operations. EVTL's safety
standard provides for gas detection systems, automatic deluge
systems, firewater hydrants and monitors with foam injection unit,
a fire truck, and portable firefighting equipment. The company
meets all stringent requirements of the Environmental Preotection
Agency through audits by local and international firms. Training
courses are conducted on a regular basis and staff is also provided
training and networking opportunities with Vopak's overseas terminals.
Weekly fire fighting and quarterly foam drills are conducted to
ensure effective training of all operations staff at the terminal.

EVTL is committed to playing a leading role in the development
of chemical terminal services business in Pakistan and is expected
to see significant growth in its facilities by offering quality
services to the chemical/petrochemical industry in the country
and the region. Perfectly located outside Karachi and close to
the National Highway, EVTL provides speedy dispatch to the north
of the country. Being a dedicated chemical terminal, customers
can benefit significantly from freight sharing with other bulk
chemical tanker. The jetty currently has a utilization of 30%
and handles 600,000 tons of chemicals which is 65% of Pakistan's
bulk liquid chemical import. The terminal has sufficient land
available for expansion and construction of new storage tanks
in the future.
