Penjuru Terminal was officially added into Vopak's portfolio of terminals in Singapore (which also includes Sebarok and Sakra) on November 2001. This addition was a significant step towards our goal of better serving our customers in Asia through a wider offering of integrated logistics solution. This addition will also realize our strategic direction to create centres of excellence for the various terminals in Singapore: Sebarok gearing towards serving the petroleum sector, Sakra concentrating on industrial related chemical plants on Jurong Island, and Penjuru striving to be the preferred terminal to serve the third party chemical businessess in Singapore. Being the third party service provider, we aim to continuously deliver a highly sophisticated level of one-stop service directly linked to our customers' needs. Vopak will continuously explore every alternative to create synergies and offer value added services to our customers.

With its well-developed infrastructure, Penjuru provides an optimum variety of services comprising of bulk liquid storage, re packaging, distribution and other logistic services. Strategically situated in close proximity to Jurong, it provides a storage capacity of up to 150,950 cubic metres for petrochemical and chemical products, with a total of 147 tanks serviced mostly by dedicated pipelines. It is supported by 17 truck-loading bays, 22 semi-automated drum filling points and 3 efficiently managed covered warehouses. Furthermore, it also operates 3 jetties that can handle an average of 600 vessels per year and vessels up to 40,000 deadweight tons. In addition to its excellent drumming, trucking and warehousing offering, Penjuru also provides other value added services : environmental protection facilities including a vapor emission control system and a state of the art wastewater treatment plant. Independent third party managed laboratory services are also available on site to provide prompt independent quantity and quality surveying in meeting customers' requirements.

Penjuru being the distribution point for the many multinational and local companies has enabled Vopak to be creative in providing alternative integrated logistic solutions.
