The Vopak terminal at Pulau Sebarok offers 1,035,000 cubic metres
of liquid storage capacity for oil products.
Pulau Sebarok is an island located in the centre of busy Singapore
port. The facilities are designed to cater for the varied trading
activities that has earned Sinagpore the reputation of being the
third largest petroleum hub in the world. Vopak operates six jetties
on the island to service the movement of over two thousand vessels
annually. The jetties have the capacity to handle vessels of between
6,000 to 150,000 deadweight tons.
Apart from simple break-of-bulk services, the terminal offers blending
services for clean petroleum products and fuel oil grades. Major
users of the terminal are mogas blenders who custom-blend varying
grades for the region, as well as bunker suppliers, who are able
to realise better premiums for product upgrades through blending.
Value-added services like these make the Vopak terminal an attractive
base for regional traders to work out of.
The Pulau Sebarok terminal indeed complements the service offerings
which makes Singapore a truly world-class port.
